Description

For sale is a 1988 WInnebago Chieftan 34' tag axle with slide out. 65K on the Chevy 454 with 400 turbo trans. Mechanically sound and runs great. I just returned from a 3500 mile trip over 3 weeks without any problems. It will have a fresh oil change and chasis lube for you. It features a manual slide out, 8 newer commercial grade tires with less than 10K on em (thats $2K in tires!), new 24' premium awning that retracts into a PVC protective case (thats a $2100 awning!), 5700W McCullom generator, dual coach batteries, newer brakes (done when tires put on), dual Coleman roof A/C's, large bathroom with tub/shower combo and new toilet, microwave, 3-way fridge, stove, and oven. Vent hood with system monitor. 100 gal fresh, 100 gal grey, and 40 gal black water tanks with all hook ups. 40 gal propane tanks (3/4 full). 70 gal fuel tank (1/4 full for you). LP gas detector, smoke alarm, fire extinguisher. Sleeps 5-6. Queen walk around bed, fold out sofa, and dinette that breaks down to a bed. 13" color TV. Inside Hi-Def antenna. Sirius satellite radio (you will need your own subscription). New vinyl tile and trafficmaster wood laminate floors. No roof leaks. Tow package. Roof ladder with luggage rack. Spare tire. Sides were completely stripped and redone in aircraft aluminum with water channels (prevents delams) and a custom vinyl skin put on. This model has basement storage and ample storage inside as well. Also has a Cobra CB radio.
The things that don't work:
No engine AC (we just ran the roof air if we needed while driving)
No cruise control
The HWH does not work all the time. RV service center thinks it has a clogged valve. This coach has a bypass, however, that allows water to flow past the engine manifold for hot water. A gas valve is very cheap if you want to fix it.
The previous owner informed me that the roof mounted TV antenna does not work. I have never tried it or even raised it. THe inside one is much better and a hi-def anyway so we just use that.

I am sure there I have left stuff out, so please feel free to ask any questions you have. There is no stupid question! I will respond to all.

I am located on the SW side of Chicago near Oak Lawn, Il. Please feel free to set up a test drive or come see the RV. It is a unique vehicle and one of a kind.

I just picked it up from the RV service center and it has had a chasis lube, oil change, and system check and I am happy to report all is well. I have the work order from them!

I am pretty firm on the price. Not really looking for trades.
