This position is an associate level sales opportunity responsible for learning, understanding, and proving the value of the Mainframe solutions in context to the business and IT objectives of the Customers and Partners. The Associate Sales Executive will be accountable for successfully completing the Training Curriculum and Field Assignment responsibilities.

Upon completion of the Sales and Technical Training Program, this position will be eligible to transition into an available Sales Executive positions within the organization.
Job Description:
*Learn the key aspects of business, eg, business models and competitive positioning; also understand how business operates, including role of structure, systems, and processes; can speak in business language when applying professional expertise.
*Covering a territory, establishing accurate plans and forecasts, prioritizing efforts and generating short term results while holding a long-term perspective to maximize overall territory viability
*Develop a solutions-oriented and systematic sales approach leveraging the company methodology and industry best practices
*Participate in lead generation activity for the North American Sales Organization to increase the sales pipeline
*Work closely with sales and pre-sales teams to help drive opportunities from identification and qualification through to closure of the deal.
*Customer focus and satisfaction by building effective relationships with customers, identifying, meeting and exceeding customer expectations,
*Upon completion of the sales and technical training program, this position will be eligible to transition into an available Sales Executive position within the organization.
*Coordinate internal/external resources to assist the sales team in effectively sales pursuing opportunities.
*Disseminate feedback internally gained from client experiences and issues to facilitate product improvements or enhancements.
*Work with Territory Planning, Account Planning, Opportunity Planning, Partner Enablement Planning, Forecasting, Lead to Quote, Proposal development, Technical Enablement Plan development, Solution Architecture Overview, Statement of work development
Requirements:
*Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT Management, related field or equivalent experience preferred.
*Minimum of 2 in the IT industry or possess technical sales experience & business acumen to demonstrate how technology can benefit customers
*Certifications such as CISSP, SNIA, ITIL, ITIAM and project management experience would be a plus
*Experience in working with customers, sales personnel, customer service, as well as a good understanding of the industry disciplines, technologies and applications
*Demonstrate customer focus and satisfaction by building effective relationships with customers, identifying, meeting and exceeding customer expectations
*Keen interest in formal and informal learning channels to continually enhance knowledge and understanding of current and evolving market, industry, technology and competitive trends.
*Strong oral, written communications and presentation skills as well as comfort around higher management and technical staff.
*Problem solving, solution expertise, consultative 'questioning' and active listening skills
*Develop a solutions-oriented, systematic approach to selling, leverage mastery of sales best practices and sales methodology.
*Extensive business travel of approximately 75% yearly is expected
