* Monitors workflow for incoming orders and input same into computer in a timely manner.
* Review & input new physician and refill orders and discontinues orders according to client specific criteria.
* Admit new customers.
* Enters drug credits into the computer system when applicable.
* Maintains a working knowledge of the specific pharmacy area or responsibility.
-Identifies non-pharmacy items that require further processing and forwards to appropriate area.
-Provides research via computer as needed to track prescription orders.
* All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Data entry experience required.
* LTC OE exp. Required.
* Pharmacy technician experience, preferred.
* Knowledge of pharmacy computer system.
* Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand and generic names of medications and general pharmacy terminology.
* Basic knowledge of insurance procedures.
* Ability to perform accurately and efficiently when imputing information.
* Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
* Have mastery of the English language in order to communicate effectively with predominantly English speaking customers.
* Excellent phone customer service skills.
