*Position hours are 12:00 Noon- 8:00 PM (2nd Shift), 8:00 PM-6:30 AM (3rd shift) or a possible 1st shift role*


Prestigious Enterpride Compnay, located in the Northwest Chicago Suburbs, is currently seeking an IT Service Desk Analyst. Candidate will resolve a high level of computer and application issues on a first call basis. Additionally, the Analyst will be responsible for performing routine operational tasks within the Data Center.


Duties & Responsibilities

Receive and accurately record details of problems to include status and resolutions to problems.

Successfully troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve Tier 1 & Tier 2 service and support issues.

Provide accurate Tier 1 & Tier 2 services and support metric reporting (ie call tracking) as required.

Handle the efficient escalation of customer service and support issues to the Tier 2 & 3 support team.

Perform the application and reporting of project management metrics such as milestone, critical path and resource leveling.

Manage execution of assigned tasks against detailed project plans that facilitate the timely completion of infrastructure objectives and deliverables.

As a team member, discuss with team, and provide supervisor recommendation(s) for production support documentation including technical support documents and end-user instructions to supervisor.

As a team member, discuss with team to evaluate and maintain assigned policies and procedures to keep them current and efficient, and present to supervisor.

Monitor the nightly and weekend jobs that run on the AS400, in Advanced Job Scheduler.

Provides first-level support in the areas of Citrix, JDE OneWorld, PC software applications, desktop/lap top hardware and network. Maintains skill level sufficient to provide such support.

Monitor AS400 Job scheduler software to ensure that scheduled jobs are initiated as expected.

Respond to error messages by resolving issue or escalating to appropriate support personnel.


Minimum Requirements

* Will be required to work various shifts

* 2. 3 years experience monitoring jobs on an AS400 system

* 3. 5 years experience working in a full service IT Service Center

* Technical Skills: Active Directory, Users, Security Groups, Outlook/Exchange, Ethernet networking, Network printing, VPN

* Strong knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Word. Excel, etc*)

* Requires strong organizational skills

* Must have excellent problem solving skills

* Must have excellent interpersonal & communication skills

* Must possess the ability to quickly learn and understand new technical concepts.

* Must be able to manage multiple business priorities and projects

* Must have general understanding of IT fundamentals such as networking, operations/scheduling, etc.


Preferred Requirements

* Bachelors of Science degree in IT related field

* MCP certification

* ITIL Foundation certification

* JDEdwards OneWorld knowledge

* Knowledge of Citrix

* Technical skills: Group policy, PC imaging and deployment, SCOM, and Folder security
