Duties:



* System i Hardware/OS Planning & Implementation

* System sizing, capacity planning, security planning and implementation, performance tuning and analysis, backup/recovery and HMC/LPAR management and configuration

* Disaster recovery planning and testing

* Product analysis and implementation

* Systems planning and technical problem solving

* Perform root cause analysis on application issues

* Keep systems running at optimum performance

* Capacity planning assessments, statistics and performance data

* Provide annual budget figures

* Work with development teams in the design and development of new systems

* Perform DB2/400 analysis and performance recommendations

* Administer and maintain proper system scheduled night operations




Requirements:



* 4+ years in AS/400, iSeries and Power i

* Basic CL and RPG programming and iSeries replication tools experience including Vision, Mimix, i-Tera or i-Cluster

* Experience with documentation and communication of planned events and activities

* MS Office and Project expertise

* Must be able to plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate and manage projects

* BS Degree
