Prestigious Enterprise Company, located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, is currently seeking a Director of Business Technology over Supply Chain and Distribution Development. Candidate will be responsible for leading and managing IT strategic initiatives and enhancing division productivity by successful execution of value add technologies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

*Responsible for the strategic and tactical planning, development, project management for IT initiatives.
*Proactively take leadership of new IT initiatives and assume responsibility for successful roll-out and integration.
*Working with Sr. Management to establish, project manage, track and ensure completion of defined priorities.
*Will identify and respond to future demand from users/customers, provide input to their requirements and align priorities to achieve goals.
*Establish strong strategic partnerships with key IT contacts, management, and end users.
*Recommend and deliver enabling technologies that make it easier for personnel to execute business/transactions and track/monitor results.
*Serves as the primary liaison with the senior management team ensuring business needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner; serve as the link between IT and the Sr. Management/business needs with IT technologies.
*Align IT priorities with business strategies.
*Utilizing distribution knowledge to enhance available technologies.

Qualifications, Experience and Education

*Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
*MBA/Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is highly desired.
*General knowledge of computer science (applications, infrastructure) and primary IS management disciplines (budgeting, contracting, project management).
*At least 5 -7 years of management experience in which the following occurred:
*Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.
*Successfully developed and implemented new IT technologies and initiatives.
*Established track record of managing technical staff through life cycle phases (cross functional experience highly desirable).
*Demonstrated leadership of multidiscipline, high performance work teams.
*Managed financial resources to meet goals and multiple projects.
*Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
*Ability to communicate with and understand needs of non-technical clients.
*Strong business orientation with broad experience in IT and distribution.
*Ability to conceptualize, plan, prioritize and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget.
*Strong project management skills.
*Proven ability to collaborate with IT and business teams working at remote locations.
*Experience with managing resources in dotted line relationships.
*Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation.
*Willingness to travel nationally, including multi-overnight and by air.
*Strong team work and interpersonal skills.
