Dynamic Global Trading Compnay, located in the Chicago Loop, is currently seeking a Trading Application Support Engineer for the following shifts:


Chicago Shift (1st) 6:30am - 3:30pm

Asia Shift (2nd) 5:00pm - 3:00am


Responsibilities:


Based in Chicago, provides trading application support for designated shift


Works with implementation team to achieve smooth handoff of software releases to production support.


Provides user support and training with in-house software throughout the day on desktop trading applications.


Monitors all server side software to ensure systems are working.


Maintains system documentation as systems change.


Collects and reports system errors, improvements, etc. to appropriate teams.


Ensures all automated jobs and services that fire during the shift are executed correctly and at the appropriate time.


Contributes to the engineering efforts to automate processes, monitor systems and improve software management. Experience:


4+ years working in a Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop environment.


2+ years working with Unix (Red Hat Enterprise Linux is a plus)


2+ years working with Microsoft SQL Server; database installations, upgrades and maintenance.


Some knowledge or previous experience working in the Trading Industry


Must be able to demonstrate technical problem solving skills.


Must be well versed in a Scripting language on both the Microsoft and Unix platforms.


Excellent oral and written communication skills


Excellent documentation and knowledge management skills


SAN and DB replication experience is a plus
