*This is a 2nd Shift Position, Noon to 10:00pm, Trading environment experience is a must*

Prestigious Global Trading Firm, located in the Chicago Loop, is currently seeking a Trading Application Engineer for their Asian Markets shift (Noon-10:00pm). Candidate will support a rapidly growing team and software environment.

Responsibilities:

*Provides trading application support for designated Mon-Fri shift and for occasional weekends
*Moves new software releases from development to UAT to production
*Facilitates communication with trading and software development teams
*Provides user support and training with in-house software throughout the day on desktop trading applications
*Authors and maintains system documentation
*Collects and reports system errors and improvements to appropriate teams
*Ensures that all automated jobs and services that fire during the shift are executed correctly and at the appropriate time
*Contributes to the engineering efforts to automate processes, monitor systems and improve software management Experience and Skills

*4+ years working in a Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop environment
*2+ years working with Unix (Red Hat Enterprise Linux is a plus)
*2+ years working with Microsoft SQL Server; database installations, upgrades and maintenance
*Some knowledge or previous experience working in the trading Industry
*Must be able to demonstrate technical problem solving skills
*Must be well versed in a Scripting language on both the Microsoft and Unix platforms
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Excellent documentation and knowledge management skills
