DescriptionSQL Server Developer Job Description:

As an SQL Server Developer, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address our business requirements. The successful candidate will be required to adhere to architecture standards, analyze the requirements, develop & test the code and provide necessary documentation to satisfy the business requirements. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience working in a high volume transactional web application environment using MS Sql Server 2000, and must be familiar and comfortable with developing in a large corporate IT environment that requires a formalized development process, documentation, unit testing, and release management.

Requirements:

-Minimum 5+ years of application development experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005

-Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills

-Authoritative knowledge of T-Sql, Stored Procedures and Triggers

-Experience with fine-tuning and optimizing Queries and Stored Procedures

-Experience with SSIS.

-Good understanding of Logical and Physical Database Design

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

-Experience with using version control tools

-Strong problem solving and analytical skills



Additional Duties are:

Part of the team developing credit card management tools for commercial and government accounts

Prototyped and developed security and auditing functionality to respond to changing data management needs, and government regulations.

Created triggers, and stored procedures and optimized for minimal performance impact.

Ensured the replication processes were unaffected, by the addition of a second line of business.

Set up a complete small scale system copy to ensure all firewall and domain security protocols, were working within the existing secure framework and identified areas of risk compliance that required addressing.

Converted existing databases from SQLServer 2000 to SQLServer 2005.

Partitioned the existing data to support a mount point base physical architecture.

Verified and converted stored procedures and triggers.

Participated in three releases of business related application changes SQLServer 2000 and 2005.

Created and updated tables, indexes, stored procedures and triggers.

Automated deployment script creation to manage common deployments across multiple databases
