Our Chicago based client is looking for a SQL Server Architect for a 6 month long project. This SQL Server project is an effort to take the current SQL Server environment from the MS server team and give it to the Database Operations team. They will not be migrating any of the current environment to SQL Server 2008. They will however be building a new SQL Server 2008 environment for new application to run off of moving forwarded. This will be a SQL 2008 virtualized environment.




SQL Architect


(6 months)


Build/ design SQL 2008 environment


Design the SQL Security Architecture


Will act as the Technical Lead for this project


Will work with our PM and a SQL Engineer for this project


Build a security model


Build out all of the documentation


They are putting their production system on VMWare




Negotiating ability


Enterprise experience


Database Implementation experience
