Prestigious Global Trading Firm, located in the Chicago, is currently seeking a Network Engineer with strong Cisco Networking and trading/brokerage environment experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

5 + years of experience installing, maintaining, configuring and troubleshooting mission critical server infrastructure working in a real-time, financial services environment

Strong knowledge of network architecture design principles, practices, implementation and WAN/LAN maintenance

Ability to define network TCP/IP protocols, routing, multicast, subnets, DNS and VPN with an ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems

Experience with network capacity planning, network performance and measurement, diagnostics and debugging; strong understanding distributed systems techniques

Strong understanding of network security best practices with an eye towards process and procedure improvement

Experience working with a variety of switches, router, firewalls and network equipment

Requirements

BS/MS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience

5 + years experience working in the Information Technology industry, preferably exposure to Financial Services

CCNP Certification preferred

Ability to work in cross functional teams

Ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies to meet the changing demands on the business

Perform advanced troubleshooting, ability to quickly solve complex problems

Interest in working in a fast-paced, highly technical environment
