Prestigious Global Financials Firm, located in the Chicago Loop, is currently seeking a Build Engineer. Candidate will administer and upgrade source control systems and build systems, as well as

implement automated code analysis tools for reporting code coverage, cyclomatic complexity, feature creep, bug frequency, schedule approximation accuracy, bug fix turnaround, and API change reports.


Other Responsibilities:


-Assist deployment team in designing and implementing a web-based, push-button software deployment system.

-Leverage third party build engine, implementing continuous, nightly, and ad-hoc builds with minimal user input.

-Explore and evaluate new processes, techniques and tools for streamlining development, testing and deployment.

-Write and manage build scripts, merge modules, installers, and versioning tools.

Qualifications:


Strong understanding of software configuration issues

4+ years experience in automating builds and deployment

Extensive experience with a variety of SCC tools such as Subversion, Clearcase, Perforce, MKS, CVS, etc.

Experience with agile build systems, especially automated continuous builds and code coverage reporting

Strong Scripting language experience

ASP.Net development experience highly desirable

Some Programming experience in C#-.Net and/or Java a plus

Strong UNIX/Linux/Windows knowledge

Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential

Must have excellent documentation and knowledge management skills
