Director/Supervising 3D Design Engineer - Pro-E/Medical applications


We are currently seeking a design engineer to lead and drive the mechanical design of various surgical implants and instrumentation. We are looking for those with specific experience working in the medical device field and within this space, those with a background with Class-3 devices for Spinal applications.


Your day to day role will be to lead the design effort for current and upcoming design projects, driving innovation and product quality and listening to customer/client feedback and integrating this into future design. You will lead the design efforts by generating solid models and design drawings/specifications. (Pro/Engineer experience required), Interface with vendors for critical component selection and tool qualification, and from time to time, you will interface with surgeon designers and marketing personnel.


We are looking for a manager, supervisor or director level candidate. The ideal candidate would be someone with 3-5 Years of directly applicable experience.


Requirements:

An advanced engineering degree would be a plus, but minimally, we need those with at least a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.

5-10 years of product design experience including design for machining.

Direct project and team leadership experience and abilities.

Someone with metal experience (medical device experience is a MUST have, as is direct experience with SPINAL products)

Prototyping experience (stereolithography).

3D CAD experience a must. ProE experience/proficiency is required.


We are able to offer relocation assistance, but obviously those candidates that are local will be given priority consideration.
