Description Job Description: Full-time tenure track teaching position in the Sociology department.


Duties of Position: Full-time faculty must teach 30 contact hours per year; serve on college committees; develop and maintain curriculum, stay current in their disciplines, Participate in on and off-campus staff development activities, participate in college and community service.


Examples of courses to be taught include:

Introduction to Sociology

Introduction to Social Psychology

Social Problems

Marriage and the Family


Education Requirements: A Master's degree in Sociology is required.


Experience Requirements: Fifteen hours in the field with a minimum of one year teaching experience (T.A. teaching assistant experience not applicable.) Experience teaching large lecture class format (120-140 students) and distance format desireable.
