Position reports to the Transportation Manager and encompasses varying facets of the business depending on assigned responsibilities and level of experience with primary focus on inbound and outbound shipments. This is a fast paced job which requires interaction between all departments, outside vendors and suppliers. These job responsibilities directly impact customer satisfaction.


* Routing & tracing of direct to customer orders/PO's


* Title transfers on PO's


* Inbound vendor PO's including delivered PO's


* Freight rate quotes


* RMA's = return material authorizations for traffic coordination


* Routing & tracing of LTL, BT & Truckloads for all warehouses


* Orders for 'PO NOT IN' follow up


* Outside warehouse shipment/billing verification


* Packaging coordination


* Small balances in railcars (Heels)


* Routing of Mexico shipment coordination


* Inbound ocean containers & overseas shipments


* Railcar tracing to sites, DI's & customers


* Railcar receiving at sites, maintenance & inbound notifications to sites


* Outside warehouse receiving


* Reports for materials in transit* Strong computer knowledge base


* Strong interpersonal skills, requires regular interaction between various depts. and outside vendors


* Experience in the Plastics industry a plus


* Critical thinking skills must be able to identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities and utilize different sources to draw conclusions.


* Ability to thrive in a constantly changing chaotic environment and consistently meet tight timelines


* Analyze complex problems and develop alternative solutions
