Mastiff - Extra Large - Young - Female - Dog - Ellie Mae-PENDING

Midwest Mastiff Rescue, Inc. was established to help Purebred English Mastiffs however, during the course of our rescue efforts we come across very sweet dogs, mistakenly (often it is difficult to tell)identified as purebred. Our volunteers are very caring individuals and in those instances when we are able, we will help to place these mastiff mixes in loving, caring homes. We do require these mixes meet the same health and temperament standards we expect in purebred Mastiffs. Meet Ellie Mae!!!! Ellie mae came in with Jethro, these two dogs were left at a shelter in need of immediate medical attention and very frightened. They were scheduled for euthanization when one of our volunteers was contacted to see if we could help. Our volunteer immediately saw the "inner heart" both of these dogs possessed and recommended we take them in, get them the medical attention they needed and find them loving forever homes. While both were very skittish at the shelter, once they received the needed medical attention and were introduced into a stable and loving environment they began to settle down and adjust to their new chance at life. Both Jethro and Ellie Mae are very friendly to people. Both are brindle in color and approx 100 pounds and 18 months old. They still act very "puppyish". They are very attached to each other and do not like to be apart from one another. They are not dog aggressive in any way and like to interact with the other dogs at their foster home. It would be wonderful if they could go to a home together but they may be considered for adoption separately. If you have room in your heart and budget for two large dogs then Jethro and Ellie Mae are the pair for you.
