Please help... Racing Kennel Closures Put Dogs In Serious Jeopardy. Adopters and temporary foster homes desperately needed. Greyhounds make super family pets. Feel good about saving a life and bringing the gift of unconditional love into your home. Dogs are always grateful and non-judgmental. American Greyhound is a not-for-profit adoption group dedicated to finding homes for retired racing greyhounds. All adoption applications are thoroughly screened prior to approval. We request a $185.00 adoption donation, which helps defray the costs of providing spaying or neutering, bringing vaccinations up to date, having teeth cleaned if necessary, parasite check and treatment as indicated (although we cannot guarantee complete freedom from parasites) and choice of safety collar and matching leash.American Greyhound uses a network of volunteer foster homes where the dogs live in a family environment while they wait to be adopted. This helps each dog acclimate to living in a house where they learn about things like house manners, stairs, windows, other pets, etc. New foster families are always welcome and very much needed.Please visit our website at www.americangreyhound.org to learn more about these wonderful dogs, when and where they can be seen, and to print out an adoption or fostering application.
