I have a female Iris Lorikeet (estimated to be about 2 years old) who has previously been previously bonded to a man. I didn't know this when I adopted her and after the brief "honeymoon" period, she has started to resent me. She does light up when my boyfriend walks into the room, but he's terrified of birds- so he's not willing to be her friend. She's a bird with a bit more complicated needs than most.
