No phone calls please-e-mail below (info below) Meet our little clown Mikey .He is a handsome Black-headed Caique who is about 11 years old. We had him to the vet resently for grooming, gender testing, and a CBC blood panel. All his tests came back normal. He came into our rescue when his new family of the last 5 months could no longer give him all he needed. They asked us to take him and, we said yes. Mikey likes to be sung to, it makes him so happy he will dance. He loves to spend time on a play gym and is quite comical to watch. Mikey says his name, I'm sorry, No, daddy, mama, Wow, OooHhh, love ya, woof woof and hello , his vocabulary is growing by the day. He is caged in a room with other similar sized birds and does fine, but is not allowed close contact with them for everyones safety. Caiques can be very loud, (sharp sounds)similar to the sounds of a conure. Please read up on Caique's before you contact his foster mom, they are not the bird for everyone. We recommend Mikey's adopter have medium to large bird experience. Mikey can be temperamental about who he likes, and that will play a big part in who adopts him. If you are looking for some laughter in your life then this may be the bird for you ! His adoption fee is $375.00 (no cage included).
