This is your official invitation to our Area Representative Training! Whoo Hoo.... ASSE International Student Exchange Programs (ASSE) is looking for Area Representatives to server in their local community. ASSE provides academic year, semester and short-term exchange programs in the United States for high school-aged students from around the world. Students are 15-18 years old, have passed a series of academic and character requirements, and are anxiously awaiting an opportunity to embark on their American adventure. Area Representatives recruit and screen prospective host families, interview students to study abroad, and supervise the visiting exchange students in their community. Area Representatives are reimbursed for their expenses and are compensated based on the number of students they are supervising. ASSE's primary goal is to contribute to international understanding through exchange programs enabling students to learn about other languages and cultures through active participation in family, school, and community life. ASSE’s Area Representatives are the cornerstone of the organization, making all of this possible! Please call Adriane at 614-397-6128 for more information. It will be great time for everyone to meet, share stories and learn more about the ASSE Exchange Programs. We will be covering hot topics like the database, how to find host families, bonus and incentives and what will make the year abroad a great experience for our students. Come prepared to be inspired! This training is state mandated so we want you to get as much out of it as possible. Why not bring a friend or relative that has expressed an interest in becoming an area rep? We would love to include them too. RSVP - I need to know who is attending and if you are far enough away to need a hotel room for that Friday night before. So reply back to this email ASAP!
