If you are a Commercial Plumbing Estimator with experience on large commercial projects, please read on!


We are a non union, large, growing organization looking for a Plumbing Estimator with recent experience estimating large, commercial projects. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 3-8 years of estimating experience that is looking to move their career to the next level.


What you'll be doing!


~ Review Invitations to Bid with supervisor to determine what projects to accept for bid

~ Obtain specifications books and drawings as needed

~ Review specification and drawings to prepare for bid process

~ Interface with office manager, general contractors, engineers, and architects as required to clarify specifications, bid requirements and scope of work

~ Attend walk-through and scope review meeting as required.

~ Obtain fixture, equipment and material quotes from vendors

~ Take off drawing and enter information into computerized estimating system to determine cost

~ Prepare proposal based on estimated cost and specifications

~ Submit proposal to clients and follow up for results

~ Maintain proposal log, bid board and drawings/specifications

~ When project is awarded, prepare job set-up paperwork and billing documents, and organize file

~ Interface with project management, administration and key field personnel to review bid and documents before turning over responsibility


What you need for this position!


~ 3+ years estimating commercial plumbing projects

~ Knowledge of computerized estimating systems - we use Estimation software and will train qualified candidate

~ Ability to read blue prints

~ Understanding of commercial plumbing systems
