Horizon Technology Partners is seeking an experienced IT Technical Recruiter with Business Development experience to join their growing IT staff augmentation practice in Palatine, Illinois. We are looking for a seasoned professional who has experience sourcing, screening and building relationships with IT Professionals and conducting business development.


The successful candidate will have several years of recruiting an business development experience in the IT staffing/staff augmentation industry and will have an exceptionally high degree of professionalism. This individual will work very closely with clients and will be expected to deliver high quality IT staff for their clients' openings. This position reports to the Resource Manager for the Midwest Group.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to) providing services to new and existing customers for their recruiting and personnel needs; interviewing, evaluating, negotiating and hiring IT personnel; negotiation of salary rates with candidates; marketing IT positions to candidates, and submitting selected candidates; client visits, attending job fairs, taking job orders, preparing resumes, heavy telephone work and tracking and meeting monthly goals. In addition, incumbent must exercise discretion and sound judgment in recruiting and screening candidates for clients.


Candidates should have a 4 year college degree (preferred but not required); at least 3 years staffing industry experience and/or 3 years IT staffing industry experience, with IT contract staffing preferred; computer literacy; ability to work in a team environment while maintaining a strong individual contribution; and previous IT recruiting experience.

Qualified candidates will possess:

- A minimum of 3 years recruiting experience, preferably in the IT arena

- Prior business development experience (Identifying Prospects, Cold Calls, Gathering client requirements, Account Management, etc.)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong presentation skills.

- Solid work ethic, planning skills and excellent organizational skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Strong self-motivation, with a goal driven team orientation.
