In need of an IT Risk Management Specialist for a 3 month contract in Oak Brook, IL. This will be a part time position, with most of it being done after-hours and on weekends. Perfect side job for the right person! Individual will be responsible for the information security risk management strategy, planning and execution in line with NASD Rules and Regulations. Will maintain awareness of external regulations for new or changed requirements within IT and identify industry standards from which to modify core IT risk processes.

Responsibilities include:

* Will develop policy, standards and procedures for the IT Risk Management program including Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Data retention.
*Will also develop, facilitate and execute an enterprise wide Business Continuity plan and attestation.
*Will manage all components of business recovery, business resumption, contingency planning and crisis management including Disaster Recovery plans and attestation to ensure critical business systems are available in accordance to agreed timeframes and standards.
*Will provide records retention system administration for effective security, storage and retrieval or all proprietary information in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements:

* 3-4 years of experience in the IT Risk Management, Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery field in addition to at least 4 years of related business experience.
*Experience providing business process solutions to business problems and identifying opportunities for improvement.
*Should have familiarity with the critical elements of a BCP specified in NASD Rule 3510.
*Requires knowledge of financial planning environment, experience with various technologies, including networks, platforms and applications.
*Must have experience with Risk assessment and familiarity with tools and technologies used to provide retention and recovery mechanisms.
*Must possess a solid knowledge of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Data Retention Methodologies/Frameworks.
