Description Northeastern Illinois University is a state-supported institution located in a residential neighborhood in the northwest section of Chicago. The University serves a culturally diverse student population of approximately 12,000. In this role, the Activity Director will supervise the development, implementation and coordination of all elements of the Title V project objectives. Oversee the development and implementation of the NEIU Transfer Center and hire, train, supervise and evaluate Title V activity staff including the Articulation Specialist, Veterans Services Coordinator, Coordinator of Transfer Enrollment and transfer student mentors. Coordinate, write and publicize project activity reports. Act as a resource for information related to all activity projects. Work with the Title V Cooperative Project Director, Admissions Director, staff, faculty and the external evaluator to establish baseline data and evaluation benchmarks for the Title V project.
To qualify, a Master's degree in education with an emphasis on administrative, student or enrollment services in higher education is required. Solid leadership, experience with project management and demonstrated success with enrollment planning is also req'd with 5+ years experience in admissions, enrollment or student services preferably with student demographics similar to NEIU and the College of Lake County. A minimum two years experience managing a grant funded program is strongly preferred. Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel and be available to work evenings and weekends. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
