Horizon Technology Partners has an immediate opening for an experienced SAP FI Program Manger. Your skills are needed to assist a large CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) manufacturer/distributor located in Chicago, IL. In this position you will function as the Program Manager for an SAP FI implementation.


The client's raw job description is below:

The Program Manager leads the planning, design, development, and/or support of the implementation of a complete business solution, applying new or advanced technologies. Manages multiple projects, each of which would have subprojects with Project Managers assigned, or a single large and complex project. Has total accountability for project success, i.e., on time, within budget, and meeting requirements. Responsibilities also include cost management, potential for revenue growth and business development, as well as the ability to manage a recovery project. Responsible for mentoring project team members. Requires bachelors degree in project management, business or other related degree; MBA degree or equivalent preferred and 6 - 8 years of extensive related experience in project management or multiple IT roles. PMI-Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.


Activities will include:

- Day-to-day management of the activities for a SAP Finance project.

- Tracking and reporting of status on the expected deliverables,

- Reporting of what is on track and what is at risk.

- Facilitation of Issue Resolution.

- Prioritization of the specific solutions/capabilities to be delivered.

- Facilitate End User interaction with the Project.

- Financial Management of the Project:

- Tracking of financial cross-charges, ensuring accuracy of the cross-charges.

- Working with the Cross-charging team to provide direction on cross-charges and re-enter if necessary.

- Reporting Financial status & risk.


Required Qualifications

- 7+ years project management experience

- PMP certification is preferred

- 5+ years FI SAP CO-AP, BPS exp.

- Relationship Management.

- Program/Project Management.

- Program/Project Financial management.

- Deployment Planning and execution.

- Requirements and Business Analysis.

- Testing management.

- Facilitation across multiple groups.

- Strong Verbal and Written communication.
