Title: Receptionist/Switchboard Operator

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 6 months

Hrs: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Pay Rate: $12.25

Availability: You must be available immediately to begin this position.

Note: A 7 year Background Check and a Drug Test will be required. (Paid for by Axelon.)

You must be able to complete and FAX a Background Check Form within 24 hours of an offer acceptance, and you must complete a Drug Test within 24 hours of an offer acceptance.


Job Description:

Answer all incoming calls to your station within stated guidelines.

Place outgoing calls as appropriate.

Overhead paging required.

Greet vendors, customers, applicants and other visitors in a professional manner at all times.

Arrange for visitor escorts as required.

Maintain visitor records as needed.

Perform typing, word processing and clerical work as assigned.

Adhere to all security requirements regarding employees and guests.

Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.

Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines.

Participate in cross training of responsibilities as appropriate.

Understand and adhere to all safety procedures.

Ability to work overtime.

Effectively communicate both verbally and written, with clients and company personnel.

Customer service oriented.


Must have professional demeanor. One year experience as a receptionist.
