Our client is in need of a SQL Data Analyst that can perform extensive data mining in Sql Server 2005.

OUR CLIENT IS UNABLE TO PROVIDE SPONSORSHIP AT THIS TIME


This person will extract and partition data that will go to an internal auditing analyst team that will determine if the data is relevant to finding additional cost savings for its clients. The goal of this person is to identify data patterns.

There are 3-4 SQL Server databases that are multiple terabyte in size and around 600 million rows.

Candidates will need experience VB 6 or C# in order to code enhancements or build small applications that allow analysts to view retrieved data and then validate if this is what they need or if a new data search is necessary. Experience with VB 6 or C#, and SQL Server 2005 are required, but the most important is strong stored procedures, query optimization, triggers, views, functions partitioning, and manual data extraction in SQL. There is some DTS/SSIS packages and they DO NOT do any work with SSAS or SSRS at this time. They need individuals who are more data focused and enjoy problem solving as opposed to application focused. They also need people who can work well in a fast-changing environment, where they may be pulled from one task to another before completion.

Candidates should also have VBA/Access experience because all prototypes are built using these technologies because it is a fast way to code before the application will be put into a production environment. They also need strong comm skills as they will be working with multiple end users and will need to communicate their data findings with the audit team.


Candidates must have 3-5 years of SQL Analyst work.


Full time Salary is at 60-80 K with full medical, dental, vision, 2 weeks, vacation, personal and sick days and holidays.
