Description
Responsibilities:
This person will configure and support ECC 6.0 SAP modules of Finance, Controlling, AP and AR. The ideal person will have extensive knowledge of SAP Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, General Ledger and Internal Orders, Profitability Analysis, Product Costing, Treasury, Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM), BW, and ASAP implementation methodology. Actual business financial experience is important. Experience with multinational SAP implementations as well as mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
* Documents business processes using flow charts.
* Assesses business needs in order to gain a competitive advantage.
* Manipulates systems (SAP) with configuration tools in order to support new user needs.
* Works with business users and management to improve or adapt business processes.
* Develops a business case for change. Defines the needs, costs, ROI, and measurements for business and technology change.
* Manages systems support activities in the Finance, strategic planning, decision support (FI/CO/SEM) area.
* Plans and implements system configuration changes and coordinates all module and system integration testing in conjunction with power users and users.
* Supervision Talent desired when working with consultants and contract analysts.
* Educates and trains users on why and how processes and transactions are conducted.
* Develops security profiles and authorizations. Ensures that what is authorized by one manager does not compromise security for others. Works with Power Users to ensure security developed and deployed meets user needs.
* Reviews all new report needs and ensures existing reports do not already provide the needed information. Helps users with reports and may construct reports within SAP or in data warehousing and BI models.
* The development and translation of generalized business requirements into specific business processes and system configuration settings while maintaining correct system performance.
* Ability to act as a catalyst for change when the business case for change can help the company improve the customer value proposition.
* Ability to address short-term tactical requirements without losing site of the longer-range strategic direction.
* Ability to satisfy user and functional department needs without compromising the overall end-to-end business processes of the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS
* B.S. degree in computer science or a degree in Business Administration. Industry certifications from SAP or related business areas are highly desirable.
* 5+ years hands-on SAP experience, SAP go-live implementation experience, and at least one cycle doing a SAP upgrade. Must have SAP FI/CO
* Manufacturing experience with emphasis in sales and marketing, product development, finance, human resources, and manufacturing and materials.
* Business and technical skills and experience.
* Strong analytical and organizational abilities, written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to work with and lead others.
* SAP configuration skill within the finance area of support
* Ability to use tools to design business processes such as flowcharting tools.
* Effective communication and understanding of change enablement.
* Knowledge of business case development - including the development of ROI scenarios and analyses.
